Hello world,

As promised, I'm trying to keep folks updated on our waste elimination progress. About two weeks ago, we took our biggest step yet (and probably our most expensive). We replaced just about all our single use 5-lb coffee bags with heavy-duty (we hope) plastic bags. It's early days so we'll see how it goes, but so far so good. Nothing has exploded in transit. Everything is holding up well. Staff seems to not hate them. So wins all around.

The next step here is to roll it out to all our wholesale partners to whom we deliver (shameless plug here - we wholesale these tasty beans AND deliver to almost anywhere in LA! Hit us up for details and join the party.) That's the goal for April.

Looking ahead in May, we're still trying to find ways of replacing at least some of the coffee filters out with reusable ones. Today we began testing gold filters for our Clevers. In Santa Monica we've been playing with a ceramic pour over method which was surprisingly clean, so you might see it out there soon.

Anyhow, that's all for now. Please let me know if you see anything else you think we ought to be considering and eliminating. We have many months left here and I'm honestly going to run out of ideas soon! Help me help you help the world.

Over and out,

Bobby
